One of the basic standardized procedures to simplify cross-border deliveries by road vehicles ist the&nbsp;<strong>TIR Carnet&nbsp;<\/strong>procedure - we explain what the purpose of the procedure ist and in what way TIR Carnet can be used when purchasing across national borders.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>A short definition: What ist TIR Carnet?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>TIR Carnet ist a&nbsp;<strong>application-based zoller procedure<\/strong>which simplifies formalities to be fulfilled in the international movement of goods by road vehicles.&nbsp;<\/li><li>Through the&nbsp;<strong>temporary non-imposition of import duties for transit shipments&nbsp;<\/strong>cross-border trade will be significantly facilitated in the countries participating in the agreement.<\/li><li>The TIR Convention of 14.11.1975 has been accepted by all EU countries and 60 other countries outside the EU.<\/li><li>Transport with TIR Carnet zoller document&nbsp;<strong>are transported under bond<\/strong>. This means that all goods must be sealed at the beginning of the TIR transport to ensure that no tampering with the cargo can take place.<\/li><li>TIR documents are issued by the&nbsp;<strong>International Road Transport Union (IRU) in Geneva&nbsp;<\/strong>as well as issued by national member associations. Sealed&nbsp;<strong>Goods do not have to be rechecked and zoller cleared at each border<\/strong>but the formalities at the border crossing are limited to a stamp of the respective zoller office on the TIR document carried.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The five pillars of the TIR process<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In order to ensure the smooth movement of goods by road vehicles across international borders, all Parties participating in the TIR Convention agree on five principles which are indispensable for the recognition of the procedure and therefore also&nbsp;<strong>Pillars of the TIR process<\/strong>&nbsp;be called:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The recognition of the correctness of zoller controls by third countries&nbsp;<\/li><li>The controlled access to goods and evidence<\/li><li>The international guarantee for safe transports - the guarantee for individual TIR transports ist limited to 100.000 Euro<\/li><li>The security of vehicles and containers transported by TIR procedures&nbsp;<\/li><li>The validity and carrying of the TIR Carnet document<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>TIR Carnet and ATA Carnet - What ist the difference?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If the export of goods on international ground ist temporary, for example, for<strong>Exhibition equipment, samples or equipment<\/strong>carriers require an ATA Carnet zoller document. This zoller document ensures that no zoller duties have to be carried out in the destination country.
