LOCTITE 510 is a single-component, anaerobic liquid sealant that cures at room temperature. It polymerizes in the absence of air between closely fitting metal surfaces and cures through the action of metal ions (catalysts). This product, with a viscosity of 4,000 – 15,000 mPa.s, is ideal for rigid flange sealing where high strength and temperature-resistant curing are required. It is designed for sealing rigid flanges with machined surfaces, even if they are slightly contaminated. It is typically used in the automotive industry and mechanical engineering for sealing gearbox housings, engines, and pump flanges. The maximum gap-filling capability is 0.5 mm.
